*FABULOUS FOREIGN F*CK!! Ya, ya...This week's Life's Little Victories comic: 2nd level panel on the far right looks sorta dirty. It sez "Fabulous foreign flick" but with my big clunky letters, it reads "Fabulous foreign f*ck. I saw it, thought it was kinda funny and left it. *THE HOST.. ..was quite an enjoyable "flick". Much smarter than your average big monster movie. We caught it at the Arclight Theater here in L.A. It's one of those moviehouses where you pay a bit more for a ticket..and you get a specific seat in the theater. An usher takes you to your seat. You're greeted at the beginning of the show by another usher, who kindly asks that all cellphones be turned off and that you will get beat down by the staff if one goes off. It was like we were on an airplane flight. There was also a bar/restaurant in the lobby and lap dances were given randomly by ushers during the film. Overall, it was a nice experience. But we were lucky to get there for the matinee price, which was $11 apiece. We'll have balance it out with a visit to our local theater that is $3 before 6pm.

*SPECTACULAR REVIEW OF "ARE WE FEELING SAFER YET?" IN THE SPRING 2007 ISSUE OF "RAIN TAXI".. Here's a snippet: "To sum up: Keith Knight is an outstanding cartoonist, comedian, and political commentator. He's also Black, and don't ever forget it." For the whole thing: http://www.raintaxi.com/online/2007spring/knight.shtml *EMAILS OF THE WEEK... re: the Diaper strip: Damn, Keef that was sum funny shit today. I gotta stop reading your stuff at work, 'cause everybody always runs over to find out what I'm snorting about! Keep it up man. Great stuff! J. hey keith, we met briefly at the anarchist bookfair and exchanged books. you generously traded "The Passion of the Keef" for my "Redefining Our Relationships." no doubt, i got the much better deal, eh!?! your comix have been wildly entertaining and amusing me for weeks!! i laughed, i cried, and then i got on my knees and cursed god for making me a lesbian... because you are one uber-awesome writer/illustrator genius!! and then i realized how utterly retarded i am for not getting you to sign it. i guess there's always next year! thanks a bunch, keith, for your super-sized serving of wickedly clever political commentary, sprinkled with biting sarcasm and topped with populist humor. the world desperately needs your kick-in-the-ass comix!! so thanks... for the ass-kickin' !! radical love, wendy-o matik (Wendy-O Matik is a Bay Area Superstar!! Check out her website at: http://www.wendyomatik.com/ *RE: UNCLE SAM/ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP STRIP.. ..Yeah..The woman represents Iraq. And Uncle Sam is guzzling wd-40, with empty bottles of canola and olive oil on the floor. And the Viagra pills he's guzzling are the "Surge". A little obscure, I know.
