*I JUST SPENT THE NIGHT A LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL...
I did the impossible last night. I found out earlier in the day that I had an extra hour before my redeye flight to D.C. AND STILL MANAGED TO MISS THE FLIGHT.

This is no small feat mind you. It takes a particularly potent blend of arrogance, stupidity and laziness to pull something like this off. I rewarded myself by attempting to sleep on ice cold faux leather chairs with newspapers over my body. Yes, I did look quite bumlike. I thought to myself "if mother could see me now".

But I made it through and now I expect all of you to come and see me at the following slideshow/signings in D.C. listed below and on the calendar page. And for those of you who actually read this thing:The first two of you come up to me and say "You look absolutely bumlike", you will receive a prize.

*SUPER SURREAL EXPERIENCE OF THE WEEK..
Rolling down Venice Blvd. and looking over at the 7-Eleven only to see that it is now a "Kwik-e-Mart", a la the Simpsons!! Turns out ours is one of twelve that were transformed across the nation as a marketing gimmick for the Simpsons Movie. It even has Simpsons products like Duff beer inside. Even the most cynical folk have to crack a smile upon seeing this thing out of the corner of their eye. Effing brilliant!!

Enjoy the comics this week. I'm looking forward to Major League Baseball's deafening silence when Bonds breaks Haank Aaron's homerun mark. And the Wifey and I aren't as pathetic as it appears in this week's K Chronicles comic.
