FWIW, the pizza guy who bear hugged Obama in FL, did ask both Obama and the SS if it would be ok. He (at the time he was a Republican) got A LOT of hate mail and anger directed at him for his enthusiastic support of Obama.
I also hope he
> Seriously curtails drone strikes,
> Pushes a bit harder to close Gitmo (I know this is at least partially Congress’ fault)
> Softens on deportation numbers
> Lives up to his rhetoric.
I like Obama, even more than B. Clinton, but every person in power needs to be more accountable then they want to be.
The bear hug was from a republican who voted for him and took honors from the white house for organizing blood drives. It was a moment full of win, compared to Ford falling down stairs, and Cheney shooting his friends in the face.
Overall sounds like a good list.

So you admit he wasn’t random?
Read my lips: no. new. bear. hugs.
Well, the pubs will be successful as Obama will definitely not win re-election in 2016.
@Wburg…don’t discount Michelle
As far as Barry goes, all he needs is R E S P E C T.
As a woman, I would have liked to given him a bear hug. I’m not strong enough to lift him off the ground but I think am so proud of him.
“Mitch McConnell vows to make Barack Obama a two-term president.”
