I hope you’re proud of yourself. I made a potato, celery root soup last nite that we thought was in need of something. This afternoon after reading your strip I was cruising the perimiter of our grocery store and happened past the butcher shop. Therein was some nice, thick cut, local, smoked bacon complete with lots of sodium, fat and nitrates. You can guess the rest – thanks “bacon breath.”
Hope you’re happy, Keef. A package of thick-cut bacon is now thawing on the counter. I keep about ten lbs. of it in the chest freezer for emergencies like this.
Re-run or not, (it’s my favorite so no complaints there) – does this mean you’re going to be visiting your evil-twin sister in Seattle more often? Warning – the 1-5 bridge between Portland and Vancouver Washington is smogged in around 4:20.

Bacon is the marijana of meat. Seriously Keef, you need to put that on a t-shirt and sell it on your website. That is too bleeping funny.

Wait, what? Seattle? Huh? Don’t toy with us…
The “Say What?” section of the Doonsbury on-line comic strip for December 6, 2012 had:
“Bacon is truly the marijuana of meats.”
–Keith Knight.
Congratulations, man. You impressed one of the big kids.
Wait, Keef’s not one of the big kids???
congrats! You made it on Gary Trudeau’s site. http://doonesbury.slate.com/strip

Considering that Doonesbury’s flashbacks page contains the strip that was published 40 years ago today, I’d say, yes, Keef is probably a bit younger.
