I got no prefeernces either way in who wins, but I have to admit it’s kinda cool to have a hockey team named after a cryptozoological creature. It just begs for “The Vancouver Sasquatch” and “The Tampa Skunk Apes” and the Burlington (VT) “Champs.”

FWIW, the Kings used to wear purple & gold uniforms which I always preferred over what they have now. It seems these days every owner lacking imagination is going for a generic black & silver look.
Purple unis do not work in contact sports. Opponents want to hit you more if you’re wearing purple. The moment the Minnesota Vikings switch their unis from purple to Black and Silver, they’ll win the Super Bowl.
Oh, I dunno. The be-purpled Baltimore Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV.
