   You don’t think you’re someone’s Maya Angelou?

   Growing up I only got to see 5-6 baseball games in person. My dad took me to Houston Astros games and Bob Aspromonte hit at least four home runs in those few games. I saw Hank Aaron play but he didn’t hit a home run when I was there. I realized later that Aaron was a better player but Aspromonte is still my hero. You don’t have to be the greatest to be someone’s hero. Some days just being great is enough.

    I met Oprah once. Same thing. I was 100% star struck. She even *apologized* to me for something she did not make happen for me and I kept standing there thinking, “You’re Oprah. You don’t have to apologize to anyone.”

    It was thrilling to meet someone bigger than life, yet humble enough to offer an apology for an imagined slight.

    I seem to recall way way back in KChronicles history that Keith had met Dr. Angelou previously…though not with a book in hand. The Ron Jeremy reference was used then and still causes me to chuckle.
