Can’t begin to tell you how PSYCHED I am about Treme, the new HBO series from David Simon, the dude behind the Wire.  In fact, NPR’s  Fresh Air devoted an hour to Treme, which aired on our drive back from Wondercon.  So I got to listen to one of my favorite radio shows interview one of my favorite T.V. writers about one of my favorite cities–Doesn’t get much better than that!!

Vice mag did a great interview with Simon, too.  And the wifey turned me on to the blog of Treme/Wire scribe  David Mills, who died on the set last week.

*WONDERCON WRAP-UP- The effect of having my daily strip run for a year in San Francisco was definitely felt at this year’s event.  A lot more folks came by the table..and many were kids and older folks…very interesting.   But I was kicking myself cuz I didn’t have copies of the new Knight Life collection, Chivalry Ain’t Dead (due at end of May).

The panels I sat on were fun despite some technical issues during the one shared with fellow daily cartoonist Darrin Bell.    It was about the SF Main Library exhibit Coloring Outside the Lines, featuring work by a number of prominent Black cartoonists.  It opens this week.
