Republicans seem to be using this to show that Obama is trying to push this through with just the Democratic vote, while the rest of the country could really use the support of having Health Care. Beats me why not one Democrat has pointed out that Republicans would rather keep their own constituents in a financial stranglehold to prove a political point.

> $860/month? Outrageous.

Naw, that's cheap! You might not realize how much your health care costs because your employer subsidizes most of the cost. Quit your job, take COBRA, and then see what they charge you.

I got laid off in the great dot.com bust of 1999. I was getting $2000 unemployment and my COBRA was almost $1,800 (remember, like me, Keef gets family coverage!). That left $200/month for incidentals -- plenty if you cut down on luxuries like room and board.

I am now spending almost $600 per month COBRA coverage for my oldest son who had the audacity to graduate from college, so my health plan no longer covers him.

Naw, Keef would never be able to run for public office. He talks straight too much.
