St. Thomas was quite fine. I stayed at the lovely Bolongo Resort, with a view of the beach, and the pool that has a bar attached to it. I was down there to do 3 workshops at the 3 high schools on the island. One private, two public. Then do my world famous slideshow on Thursday night.

I had a smallish (50) but enthusiastic crowd for the slideshow. Including lawyers, high school students, the owner of the Bolongo, and a woman who was visiting from San Francisco.

Everything went quite swanky besides being torn apart by mosquitoes. I’ve never been bitten that much before. Other than that, I had a killer night at the local pub, Iggies, where I nearly put em outta business during All-U-Can-Eat Crab night. Got friendly with an iguana. And had a great meal at Alexanders, an Austrian(!) restaurant that’s an island favorite. Lot’s of Obama signage around, though the Virgin Islands can’t vote.

Oh!! I also ran into the world’s most interesting man, artist David Choe, at the airport in Miami. I did a strip about him a while back after seeing his documentary. It’s a small world after all.
