It’s that time of year again..The time when I ask faithful readers to write to whatever paper/website/magazine you see that runs my work and thank them for running my stuff. It’s great for me to hear from folks who like the strip, but it’s even better when folks hit up the publications too.

*”THE K CHRONICLES” NOMINATED FOR A HARVEY AWARD!! (ballot deadline: Aug. 3, 2007)
For the 2nd year in a row, “The K Chronicles” has taken home the Glyph Award for Best Comic Strip and has been nominated for A Harvey award for Best Syndicated Panel or Comic Strip. Let’s shock the world!! Anyone in “the industry” can vote. Go here for a ballot:

Keef –

I really dug the new “Life’s Little Victories” strip — the numbers were
an especially nice touch. The line “and it turns out to be the best one”
landing in the 1980 panel was my favorite. Whether the subtext was
deliberate or not, I think we can agree that one can never praise
“Empire” too much…

Nice work!

Cheers,
Bob

(hA!! he’s referring to the latest life’s little vics that takes place at the Star Wars 30th anniversary convention. I numbered the vics from 1977-1983, the years the good movies came out.

what I didn’t do was purposely refer to “the best one” in vic #1980 (ie: the Empire Strikes Back), but when i was finished with the strip, i noticed and pointed out the brilliance of it to the wifey, and she just looked at me with a puzzled expression. Ha!!-kk)

Dear Keef,

Just visited yo’ sto’ and see a listing for Dances with Sheep, but not
for Fear of a Black Marker. Am I being punished for not buying these
back in November? Refuse to use Paypal, so please tell me if I should
send a check for just Dances with Sheep or if maybe you have another
Fear of a Black Marker somewhere just waiting for the right home?

Very truly sincerely yours,
D.
Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA)

(i actually have a very small stash of the out-of-print “Fear of A Black Marker” here at the bungalow (that’s what we call tiny ass apartments here in L.A.)..not enough to list on the website, but if you want to order one, email me at keef@kchronicles.com and we can work it out.-kk)

*SEE YOU IN NEW YORK, SUCKAS..
I’ll be there for a coupla extra daze, swinging by the MAD offices , signing with gigantic syndicate deals and overall acting deviantly. Come by the MoCCA Fest and say HI!!

Ciao!!
