wooowheee!! san diego is finally done. and i’m happy to say it was my best comic-con ever!! we sold a ton of books, cds, original art..and plenty o’ the wife’s greeting cards. thanks to everybody who came by the booth and the two panels i was a part of..

the 2nd panel i was on, “minority retort”, wasn’t nearly as fun as the first one i did on thursday. mostly cuz i’m a newspaper cartoonist,and the topics covered dealt more with the comic book industry. it was still great to be a part of it. and i got to meet some really cool folks who read my work.

the best costume of the convention BY FAR was this dude who was general grievous from “sith”. it’s hard to explain how good it was ..basically, the dude was in the back under the cape, controlling the character like a puppet. it just goes to show you that you don’t have to rely on computer effects all the time (CUZ TOO MUCH OF IT LOOKS LIKE A VIDEO GAME!!) i’m sure, there’s gonna be a ton of photos of this dude posted up on the web, so keep an eye out for it.

the big surprise that i sprung on my san diego/k chronicles panel audience was that i’m WORKING ON A DAILY STRIP!! they got the first look at it and then i pitched it to some universal press syndicate folk on sat. nite. WISH ME LUCK!!

big shout outs to: vezun, steve, mike & miriam, erin, john, stan, and fan-boy dave strom, who just missed out on shaking aaron mcgruder’s hand and calling him keith knight!!

I’m looking for a studio or shared living situation in SF. I need to find a place for August 1st. I can pay up to $1000 a month. I would prefer to have my own bathroom but that is not a requirement.

If you are passing this on to a friend that does not know me here is some info about myself.

I’m in my 30’s, bartend in two busy nightclubs and I keep myself busy most of the time with anti-war activism. I have a degree in history and I plan on returning to school in the near future. I do not smoke, drink or do drugs but I am not uptight. I eat meat occasionally, but do not practice cannibalism (anymore) and I do not need to cook meat at home if it grosses out my roomates.
