*WONDERCON WRAP-UP!!
oooh-weee!! this year’s wondercon in san francisco has finally grown up!! i’m not sure why or how, but saturday was so busy i felt like i was in san diego!!

thanks to everybody who came by and picked up a copy of the new k chronicles collection, “the passion of the keef”. special thanks to everybody who dropped off special gifts (including a bottle of homemade mead, absinthe and some salt scrub!!)..also, a special hello to arthur, my smallest-biggest fan from olympia wa., who wouldn’t leave me alone til i admitted he was annoying me (long story)..

anyhoo…lots of good times had..including dinner with the wife, steve leialoha & trina robbins, and my official fan-boy bob gidley and his wife, laura. we ate at tu-lan, this great little divey vietnamese restaurant on 6th st.

the wackiest moment for me was going down the autograph aisle and seeing margot kidder!! you remember..lois lane from the chris reeve superman movies…she seems to be doing a lot better than the last time i read about her in the news…

*COMICS4COMIX WRAP-UP
friday night’s cartoon art museum fundraiser was a smashing success. it seemed a tad bit chaotic at first, but everything seemed to fall in line smoothly. it was great how diverse and uniquely funny each comedian was. and the silent auction went well, too (my piece sold!!). will durst & bridget schwartz, the two headliners, rocked!!

the two funniest moments for me were when i was pulling raffle ticket winners. here are the winners i pulled out in a row: my wife, my friend kovak, his friend, fanboy gidley, my friend rich, and his buddy. it was all black folks and people i knew!! talk about fixed!!

and then, towards the end of the night, during will durst’s set, me and another cartoon art museum board member looked at each other and asked “do you smell pot?”

i ran down the back hallway and just outside the back door, two guests were smokin’ dope, and the smoke was wafting into the museum!! hilarious stuff!!

after closer investigation of the illegal contraband, i told the guests they would have to take their party somewhere else (ten feet away)…

thanks to everyone who came out!!

R.I.P. Hunter S. Thompson….he was a huge influence…
